All registered users of this site have access to the two distinct sections of content; Acute Hyperkalemia and Chronic Hyperkalemia. Under each section, there are three unique CME/CE activities available. Each activity is accredited, and complete accreditation information for both the Acute Hyperkalemia and the Chronic Hyperkalemia set of activities are found on the Accreditation tab of this website. Simply select either Acute Hyperkalemia or Chronic Hyperkalemia from the drop-down menu.
Each section of the Hyperkalemia Management website contains three unique educational activity. These activities include;
- A high definition video of a discussion between two experts in the management of hyperkalemia. They tackle key issues such as recognition, diagnosis and most importantly, effective strategies in managing the patient with Hyperkalemia.
- A video tutorial of the exciting patient simulation technology developed by the team at Body Interact. This tutorial is designed to show you how to navigate through the patient simulation with a review of the options available to help you manage the patient. The tutorial does not manage this actual patient.
- Access to the award-winning Body Interact Patient Simulation Learning Platform in order to manage a Hyperkalemia “patient”. You will have the ability to manage this patient as you would in a real-world clinical setting. You can ask questions of the patient, review records, order new tests and medications, conduct a virtual physical exam and schedule follow up office appointments depending upon the environment e.g. hospital/acute care setting or the office-based setting.
Please create an account and participate in these high quality, accredited educational activities. We are certain they will help you to better manage your patients whether they are faced with an acute episode of hyperkalemia or if you are involved in the ongoing management of the patient with chronic hyperkalemia.
